I decided to publish Dangerous Women under a pseudonym, Hope Adams, because the book is a new departure for me and different from any of my other novels. It’s based on a true historical event, is my first murder mystery and my first book to be published by Penguin Michael Joseph. Another Hope Adams novel, as yet untitled, will appear in 2024. .

I was born in Jerusalem in 1944 and spent my early childhood in many different countries because my father was in the Colonial Service. Before I was eleven, I'd lived in Cyprus, Nigeria, and North Borneo and later my parents were also sent to the Gambia and Tanganyika (now Tanzania)... read more.
